Ocean Park Ramen is one of my go-to spots when I want a nice bowl of ramen. Wonderful menu, friendly service.
My current favorites are:
Tokyo Shoyu Ramen , Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna Appetizer, House Salad, Seaweed Salad, and Pork Bun. -

TL;DR: ramen is decently flavorful and the broth is clean and not too heavy, restaurant is trendy on the inside. Prices moderate for ramen. Probably not a place I would be craving ramen from- not too special
AMBIANCE: I was surprised by how fancy-looking the place was. It has a sushi bar in it, so it kind of gives the feel of a trendy sushi bar rather than a homey ramen place. You could definitely take a date here, but on a Wednesday night at 8 pm, the place was pretty empty. There were some TVs around the restaurant (a la sushi bar) and some weird covers of Top 40 songs playing, all sung by the same girl. I wasn't a huge fan of the music, which isn't usually something I pick on, but maybe that's just because there weren't a lot of people so it was really noticeable.
FOOD: I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and my friend got the Tokyo Shoyu ramen. The tonkatsu was milky, but not too heavy. It didn't seem like one of those broths that's sitting in the pot all day and taking in all the bone broth flavor with a lot of oil and flavor soaked in. There was also an egg and grilled cuts of pork on top. The egg was cooked perfectly. Not too cooked, not too runny. The ramen was decently good, but it wasn't something I would be craving because it wasn't glaringly special. It wasn't bad though.
The meat was interesting because it was grilled, so it had a smokey flavor that pork in ramen doesn't usually have. It kind of changed the flavor of the ramen and it felt a little disjointed since it was so heavy compared to the light tonkatsu broth. Since you could pick between pork or tofu on top, they just add it. My friend had the same type of pork on his Tokyo Shoyu ramen.
Prices were moderate for a ramen place. $13 for tonkatsu and $12 for Tokyo Shoyu. -

Discovered this new restaurant through the app Ritual and decided to try it out. The place is quaint, located in a nice location with good street side parking.
I ended up ordering the tonkotsu ramen, which was pretty good and very filling. My friend ended up ordering the chicken kaarage which, to me, was definitely the winner dish. The chicken was really flavorful. -

We hadn't been here a while and figured we would try this place again. It wasn't too busy and we were seated as soon as we walked in. We didn't have to wait long to order. My husband and I ordered Tonkotsu but I had mine without egg. It was flavorful but heavy. I felt it was bit too salty for myself that I was drinking a lot of water the rest of the evening. Great trendy spot with plenty of metered street parking in the area.

Really good ramen shop for this area! There's also underground parking in the back (super plus).
I tried their Vegetable Ramen ($12.50), which was surprisingly a lot more flavorful than I thought it would be. The soup was full of flavor and a little creamy. The sesame and chili oil makes it stand out from other plain vegetable broths. It was a pretty big portion of well, lots of noodles -- very filling!
This place is pricey, but given the area -- I'm sure it's normal. I would come back for their Vegetable Ramen!
